About this project.
This project is the restoration of a forested riparian buffer along a stream in East Montpelier, VT. The parcel includes land on both sides of the stream and is almost entirely open. A significant portion of the land has been managed most recently for hay production by a local dairy farm. We plan to plant 3,040 bare root trees and shrubs, all of native species, to establish woody vegetation along the stream and expedite the process of the land returning to a forested condition.
